Should America withdraw from Iraq if we are asked to? The answer is yes. Since the beginning of the Iraq war in 2003, we as a nation and the military have accomplished great things. The very problems of Iraq does not concern the actions of the military and this is where the majority of Americans are confused. Actions in Iraq have taken American lives whom have sacrificed it all to give the Iraqi people a democracy free from dictatorship and tyranny. The problem we face pushing Iraq into a democratic state is that dictatorship and tyranny is all the people of Iraq know. living as a free people and the concept of a free society is overwhelming to the majority of the Iraqis whom share the same territory as different groups of society, based on religious beliefs and differences.

Many issues now face the people of Iraq that were not present before the Iraq war. One issue concerns the millions of refugees forced away from their homes due to the war and the dangers of being killed by insurgents which were not present before the war. Many of these refugees have no place to go and many are in danger of diseases and hunger. Also the economy of Iraq is unstable for the majority of the Iraqis and the new government. Before the war, the economy started a period of improvement after the first Gulf War. Women of Iraq were able to attend schools and universities, but have feared to recently with the uprising of the insurgents claiming to old Islamic traditions of the unworthyness of women in an Islamic society. Many Iraqis are without basic utilities in a scorching desert environment. Truthfully, the biggest problem with the Iraq war is that an exit strategy has never been in place to successfully leave Iraq. The war in its current condition will leave America in Baghdad for many years. The only exit strategy that makes any sense is if the government of Iraq were to ask the United States to leave. If an opportunity such as that ever presents itself, the United States have better jump on it at the given moment, because it will never again present itself twice. The biggest challenge of exiting Iraq immaturely is that many innocent lives will be killed in the process. A fear that insurgents will take control of the government or the nation itself will
