What is a life coach and do I need a one? I am glad you ask that question. A life coach is someone who helps another with setting up a plan for living their life. This plan will include goal setting and action planning to meet the goals that have been set. Whether we know it or not we all have used a life coach at some point in time. Initially our parents and teachers served as life coaches because they helped us formulate goals and gave us encouragement to strive for achievement. Many times they became our cheerleaders along our educational journey.

How can a life coach help you? When graduating day comes the nice safety net your parents and teachers provided is now gone and you are left alone to continue to plan your life-or are you alone. You are alone only if you want to be. Life coaches are there to provide you mentorship, at a price, if you need their assistance. All of us along life's pathway wish we had some help with our decisions. Hiring a life coach just may be what the doctor ordered. These coaches come with varying levels of expertise so you must be careful of the ones you choose but they can be very valuable help.

When should a person consider hiring a life coach? A person should consider hiring a life coach when they are stuck in their decision making process or simply to have someone to objectively help them with planning for their future. Life coaches usually help develop a plan that encompasses the entire spectrum of life. Depending at what point you begin your relationship with a life coach they can devise a reasonable plan complete with goals and strategies which will give you a step by step outline of how to increase the quality of your life. Therefore a person should consider hiring a life coach when they do not have an objective person in their life who can help them formulate plans which will help in securing a lifetime of health, wealth, and prosperity. A life coach can help you assess your life in terms of where you are, where you want to be, and help in choosing the path you need to take to get there.

Then the life coach becomes your coach or cheerleader, which ever you prefer, pushing you toward your goal in life. The coach accomplishes this by maintaining a watchful eye over your progress and by carefully measuring on a periodic basis what you have accomplished. This benefits you because you have someone who is constantly reminding you of keeping the promise you made to yourself. Hiring a life coach can be the best decision you ever made because a life coach can help you with family planning, career planning, investment planning, retirement planning and so much more. Hiring a life coach in this fast paced society is like hiring someone to watch your back as they hold you accountable to your goals.
