What is healing power? Healing power is the ability to bring wholeness to one that is experiencing a loss in life. Whether the loss is physical, mental, or spiritual the heart, mind, body, and soul are all affected by the condition. Loss of any kind can be devastating and can cause individuals to feel hopeless, helpless, and rejected. Many, who are suffering loss, seek solutions from various sources. Some resort to home remedies. Some result to consulting friends. Some visit the doctor and there are some who turn to their faith. In each case, everybody is suffering a loss of some kind.

Healing power, then, is what is being sought. In-order for healing power to be effective, questions need to be asked of the one who is seeking to recover from his or her loss. This is important because one cannot recover from his or her loss until they admit they have a loss. Healing power cannot overcome the will of another. Therefore the healer must secure an agreement from the person who is suffering the loss that they want to be healed. Healing cannot be forced upon a person against his or her will. This is why the bible teaches "as a man thinks in his heart so is he." (Proverbs 23:7, King James Bible).

Once a person has made up in his or her mind or heart that the illness they have cannot be cured no one is able to secure their healing. Healing begins in the mind of man. Therefore, it is important the mind be conditioned through the introduction of new information refuting the previous prognosis. (Romans 12:2, King James Bible). The only way to overcome the sense of loss the strong opinions and ideas must first be cast down. (Matthew 12:29, King James Bible). Healing in the natural world and the Spiritual world is hindered by the thoughts of man. The doctor, preacher, or faith healer cannot overcome the thoughts of another and force a healing upon them. In every case the individual must willingly submit themselves to the help of another.

Healing can only come when there is trust in the one who is the healer. In many instances the healer will give the person who is suffering a loss a prescription to follow if they are to get well. It takes faith to believe something will happen. It takes hope to believe it can happen to you. It takes belief to trust in the impossible when the doctor shakes his head and says there is nothing he can do. It is then healing power becomes more real. This healing power exist at all times but cannot be accessed until the person suffering loss has a desire burning deep inside to be healed. The discovery is that healing power is inside every individual but it takes knowledge of the Spirit to make it come alive. (John 6:63, King James Bible).
