Virtual flings have all of the makings of all the other flings, save for the physical location. Most virtual flings involve emotional attachment, suggestions for physical attachment, and promises to be able to produce both of those in person at a later date.

The intensity of the affair can bring it closer and closer to physical sex. The inhibition to meet in person will deteriorate as a relationship is strengthened and built on. A marriage is more suseptible to online affairs, due to they afford more confidentiality.
