A New Father's Thoughts
As I witnessed your mother's labor
I couldn't help thinking
How difficult it must be for both of you
To bring you out into this world.
When I saw your tiny head emerging
Followed by your blood-covered little body
I thought that the world had suddenly stood still
To salute your successful advent.
I listened to your powerful cries
Heralding your entry to my world
And now that you're in my arms
No wordsmith could ever describe
The awesome joy I feel inside.
I am now a father
And although I have read and heard
Almost everything there is on fatherhood
Nothing has ever prepared me
For the incredible blend
Of exhilarating and exciting sensations
Brought by this extraordinary
And amazingly wonderful human experience.
To you, my child, I am forever grateful
For giving me this marvelous experience
And for making me feel this way.
Let me be the father you want me to be
For now and for eternity.

I Love you Mom
As he walked out the door I asked,
"Where is my kiss?"
He gave me a look only a 6
year old can give.
For a brief
My adorable baby has come upon two
As warm and as sparkly as a new morning dew.
Each day enhances her sweet grace and charm,
