Today the sun rose,
as it always does.
Underneath the covers,
My foot rubbed your toes.
The scene is familiar,
each morning the same.
The scerenity of your presence
Helps to heal my pain.
Your betrayals fuel my fear
That this morning might be our last.
I pray that you will never hear
the insecurities of my past.
I cannot own your happiness
I did my best to no avail.
That is a journey you must take
letting our love prevail.
Forgiveness is not easy,
But for us it is a must.
I love you and will
continue to believe in us.
I see you every morning,
your warmth next to me,
A reassuring feeling
that we might always be.
The only thing left to do
is to begin the day a new,
Won't you love me again?
As I have always loved you.

Long after our love had drowned

Aching For You
My body lies still longing for your touch
I try to move yet the pain is just too much
My eyes, fingers, lips
