Witnessing the paranormal

days after John had left for New York (with the trailer), we found the trailer had been abandoned on the side of the road. Nothing appeared to be wrong with it, but John never came back for it!

The last place was somewhat interesting, because there were a variety of spirits occupying the house. Located on the outskirts of Dallas, Texas, this place was a temporary shelter for my children and me. A friend had let us stay in her home, even though she didn't like having visitors.

During that period, my children kept mentioning seeing various ghosts, and I kept sensing their presence. I kept getting the impression of an old farmer, sitting in the corner, looking out at the garden. My daughter saw a young woman and a child. My oldest son saw the old man farmer, but also an old woman, but he did not see the young woman and child. My youngest son just kept saying the place gave him the jitters, and he wanted to leave immediately. Our friend was the only person who lived in the house, and due to all the dogs she had, never had any other visitors! Several times, I noticed one dog would lie in the corner where I felt the old man's presence. The dog would act as if he was enjoying being petted, although no one was near him! Our friend confirmed that there were many spirits there. She had names for all of them!

Nowadays, I just take it all in stride when I encounter spirits like that. Unless I get a terribly frightening sense of danger, I just leave the spirits to their wanderings. It really is amazing how many places you can encounter these spirits in, yet no one else seems to notice they are there. Is it because they really don't know about the spirits, or are they just keeping quiet like John tried to do, afraid that others would think they are crazy? It seems as if more people are willing to tell about the "spirits" and "ghosts" in their own experiences nowadays...maybe people are starting to realize that this a part of "normal" living, rather than "paranormal"!
