Which is the best Xbox 360 game and what makes it best

There is no "best Xbox 360 game". If you say that Halo 3 is the best 360 game then that's your opinion, its not the best. So the real question is "Which is your favorite Xbox 360 game and why". I'm sure that my answer is shared by many others. Call of Duty 4.

Call of Duty 4's campaign is a non-stop, pulse pounding, adrenaline rushing, epic tale of war and loss that never lets up. Whether you're battling the despicable Ultranationalists with your squad, storming a building, stealthily avoiding enemies, or in an all out war, Call of Duty 4 is entertaining 100% of the time. The graphics are amazing, as well as the sound, music, action, story, and gameplay. During development Infinity Ward had their eyes set on making the most realistic combat experience possible in a video game. New gameplay elements are constantly being thrown at you to keep you on your toes, wondering what will happen next.

Near the end of the prologue's 2nd mission you play through one of the most cinematic "oh crap" moments ever to be had in gaming history. When I first encountered this sequence my heart was pounding in response to this exciting and unexpected scene. By the end I was slouched on the couch clutching my heart with adrenaline still racing through it. It was absolutely incredible and a perfect foreshadowing for this masterpiece.

I won't elaborate anymore on the story but will now delve into the multiplayer. You have many options at your disposal such as UAV recon, sending to a location airstrikes, and calling in a helicopter. Watching your enemies fall before your gunfire is a very satisfying experience. It's even more satisfying when multiple die at your hand by an airstrike you ordered or an expertly thrown grenade.

However when you're on the receiving end of these methods you may find yourself saying how cheap of a death that was. This may lead to you getting very frustrated and hateful toward the game, but in the end its all great fun. The ranking system is pretty fun unto itself. Its always anticipating to see what you'll unlock or what you're emblem will look like at the next rank. But I find it to be flawed. Lets say every match you die 20 times and get only 1 kill. You may have done terribly, but if you continually played the game like this then you would eventually achieve the highest rank(lvl 55, Prestige 10). However you'd have to play so many matches like that that you'd rather just improve and start getting more kills.

If you have an Xbox 360 or a PS3 then you must by this. I don't care if you've never played an FPS before
