Ways to avoid public speaking

tempted to occasionally participate or even strike up friendships. Keep your goal in mind. Stuff like friendships and participation lead to communication which can lead to public speaking. It's a slippery slope or gateway activity. One follows the other, so be careful as you may be tempted to grow. However, even knowing the risks, I should mention that Toastmasters is a less expensive option than the first two. Many would even use the word "cheap". Toastmasters is around $45 for 6 months with an extra initial signup fee of about $17. Of course, visitors attend free, so the fees are beyond the scope of this article.

To sum up, I have mentioned three great ways to avoid public speaking. Poker is a great way to avoid lots of activities including public speaking. Going to the movies all the time is another great way to avoid and to avoid people - if you do it right. Hiding in plain site at Toastmasters is truly an ingenious strategy, but comes with the risk that relationships might form and communication may be necessary. Whatever avoidance method you choose, I wish you the best in life, but know that I will be attempting to take your chips should we meet at the poker table and you will be able to hear me laughing at the movies should our paths cross there. If you meet me at Toastmasters, I'll be the one seeking to know you better and asking you to lunch and because I have experience at both poker and public speaking, I'll be able to tell if you're bluffing your way through Toastmasters.
