I have these quiet days
Where my silence is golden
Where words stay awake
And the world goes to sleep
Where time and space
Are the only factors
Playing around in my head.
Ideas float like water
And love stays afloat
Like a sunken ship
Eventually spiraling downward
With the anchor of my secrets.
I have these quiet days where
My lips say it all
Despite the invisibility of my dialog
If you search closely enough
You may be able to read between
My lines of silence,
Maybe find the chaos in my head
It's the sinking ship flagged red
With love written on the side
And the anchor of my secrets
Weighing it down to the bottom
Of my abyss.
I have these days
These days that exist in the silence
Of my head
Where my lips say it all with silence.
So listen.

Poetry: Silence
by Ted Onulak
As silent as flowers in a vase
Taking quiet sips of water
Wordlessly counting their last remaining days
Silent as the sunbeams
by Memee
Millions of snow flakes gently falling to the ground
blanketing the earth with out making a sound.
Star gazing from a hilltop
Silence echos all around me:
nothing.
Reminding me of my thoughts,
and taking me further
into its welcoming depth.

Silence is Silent
Is silence found in heart that beats no more
Or is it placed in a dream without an encore
Is silence revealed
Silence
The flame dances on the wick,
Dances to some silent music.
No pounding beat or tune,
No rhythm or rhyme,
Just...silenc e.
