Eventually they will all come home
Some by air and some by water
Some by body bag
With a child missing a father
Eventually by treaty or by death
The fighting will cease
But for that greiving wife
Will there ever be peace?
Eventually it will go down in history
And there will be no regrets
Except for the families
Who can never...ever...forget.
We will pledge our allegience
And salute the star spangled
Eat our hot dogs and watch the fireworks
And ignore the lives we have mangled
Happy Fourth of July.
