Home Alone
Were told we need to keep the faith
To keep the faith in what?
The devil sits upon my shoulder
Urging me to go
The sits beside him
Looking far away
The voice it whispers in my ear
Join him on the cross
Suspended high above them all
I look down to see
Blinded by the cloth they seek
Laughings all they get
Feeling free from it all
Tumbling like a child
The breeze it blows before my eyes
My life goes with it
The misery and the pain I did face
Some smiles here and there
Taken away with one swift blow
I tumble home, alone

Being pushed rather than voluntarily remaining still
Bullied

A dinner waits in the oven, dry as tinder sticks.
You hadn't come home for tea, at the normal time of six.
I gave you a few

Survival
The world span away

And
Another Chance

holding the ultimate tool of my fate.
I'd been keeping it all inside,
forgetting to forgive
by Paul Curtis
WHAT?
What darkness
Leads a tortured soul
To break the bonds
Which hold us
Voluntarily
What illusion
So influences
A mind once so
