Even Song
Evening's here, it's time to slow down
You've been running and playing all day
Let's sit out on the verandah
And look at the Milky Way
There's Venus shining big and bright
But Mars seems like a little dot
Can you find the Southern Cross?
It's opposite the Iron Pot
Sweet Ginger flowers scent the air
And Jasmine perfume wafts around
Listen now the creek is flowing
Making a gentle tinkling sound
It's time to tuck you into bed
To close those sleepy eyes
Another day has been and gone
Under our Australian skies
