How to choose and decorate wedding arches

make it tilt the slightest. If the arch is to stay put in one area you can stick it firmly to the ground. If this is the case, put ornamental rocks or pebbles around the base just to hide where it is buried and make the arch pretty and presentable from tip to top.

For that more versatile choice, instead of sticking the arch in ground use 2 pots for the arch base and fill the pot with soil, rocks or pebbles or any ornaments that will give weight to the base and allow the arch to stand firm in position without getting tipped at the slightest breeze.

* DIY or Rent?

Now, this is where the couple will choose between two things: Build and sweat (DIY or Do-It-Yourself) or Easy and Costly (Rent). It would actually depend on how much you can allot for the arch in the wedding budget and how willing both parties would be to put effort (and I mean manual effort) in case DIY is the option you choose. There would be plenty of events or wedding stores that can lease out an arch, but the next question would be how personalized could you make it after that.

Renting out an arch might have the setback of having limitations when it comes to giving it the look that you have in mind. However, but if you can find somebody who can lease it out to you with additional requests for a personal touch (on additional cost, of course) then grab the offer.

*What kind of decoration do you want to put on it?

The good thing about getting involved with the conception of your wedding arch is that you can choose how to decorate it. The embellishments could range from flowers, stringed beads, leaves, cut-out words or figures among others.

When using pots for the base of your arch, you can use vines of leaves and flowers. Let the vines crawl from the base up to the arch and down to the other base. Scatter flowers all around the arch. Gather a bunch of flowers for the center of the arch.

If you will use the arch as a backdrop for your cake table, you can cut out your initials from a cardboard or Styrofoam and paint or glitter it and stick it to the center f the arch. You can then decorate it with beads or flowers. Just make sure that the other decorations are smaller in size than the cut-out letters so as to give emphasis to the center rather that on any other particular decors around it.

You can also use small trinkets like bells, rings, coins, doves, etc. to decorate your arch. The possibilities are actually endless if you'll just use your imagination and give it some effort and time.
