The Bible and the mark of the beast in society

Could someone please explain the mark of the beast and what it means to the average citizen, and, more importantly, to those professing Christianity. What we need is a vindicate, authoratative revelation of this mysterious mark and its meaning to all those who are subject to it.

How does one get it, can one get rid of it, and, if so, how?

What does the Mark of the Beast truly mean?

Who is the BEAST? Is he the missing link between man and ape in God's evolutionary chain?

Having read articles on this matter, one is led to take a different tack, to present alternate thoughts which may stimulate further research by those interested.
We find God created,(made out of nothing) all the beasts of the field, Gen.1:20-25 prior to making man.
Does this imply there is a differentiation betwixt man and beast?
We find no beast in Scripture was made in God's image and likeness, which suggests man was not originally in flesh, but had a Spirit body, God being Spirit. Jn.4:24
Remember, it was not until Gen.2:7 that God put man into a body made out of ground.

Are these beasts related to those described in 2 Pet. 2:12, "But these, as natural brute beasts made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they do not understand, and shall utterly perish in their own corruption."
"But these speak evil of those things which they know not, but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves."Jude 10

Could these Scriptures refer to those who claim to interpret God's Word, contrary to 2 Pet.1:20? Without authority, vindication and use God's Word as a weapon to subjugate their congregations to spiritual slavery?

Who are those beasts, what is their mark, and how do we differentiate betwixt them and the human race?
Obviously these beasts are not elephants, lions etc. being referred to, as animals have no conscience, do not reason, as man, so, could the inference be that these beasts are hybridized humans?
Possibly demonic spirits which have indwelt human shells, just as Satan entered into Judas?
Are they the vessels of wrath, fitted to destruction, Rom.9:22?

Whoever receives the mark of the beast, and worships the image of the beast, are cast into the lake of fire Rev.19:20.
Rev.20:2 explains that the Beast, the Devil and Lucifer are one and the same critter, and learn another valid and important point, that Satan is, logically, the father of those referred to as beasts in 2 Pet.2:12; Jude 10; Rom.9:22, he being the Beast. Also note that the Beast of Gen.3:1
