(Title: A Writers Day - Dedicated to Dear Marge!
I awake daily at dawn
To a birdsong chorus-filled morning
And after a soothing morning bath
Washing away
The unwanted bits of yesterday
For today's clean-slate start
To provide one with positive energy
For the yet-to-unfold day
My dogs and I then set off
For our brisk early morning walk
To the beach
Through the wondrous
Panbros salt ponds
A teeming and glorious
World Heritage Ramsay Wetlands
Bird paradise of countless bird species
And as we finally arrive at the people-free beach
We take our walk
In harmonious-step
With the rhythmic ocean-symphony
Dogs and human friend
All lovingly enveloped
In the misty dew
Of the Atlantic Ocean
Our faces
Gently kissed good morning
By the fresh and uplifting salty sea-spray
And we then return for the day's writing
Hoping it will be an inspiration-filled day
And that we shall be masterly and creative
With inspiration
From the deepest recesses
Of our subconscious
And write words to inspire
Words to cheer the sad and lonely
Words to prompt love wherever love is needed
Words to illuminate darkened corners
Of souls darkened by deep depression
Words to leave as one's literary footprint
Spanning parts of the world wide web
To be Googled and enjoyed
By countless generations
Till the very end of time
And my inspiration my dear
Is you Marge
My Muse!

my vision cobweb-choked,
rank reek of smoke.

It isn't every day that the muse runs wild
"Confess it, to me, my little child"
You know my darkness reigns within
