The effects of pride

we have no more need of our Creator. It causes us to forget God. When you consider we were created to bring glory to God, which should be our purpose here on earth, it is no wonder He hates the sin of pride.

We were designed and created by God for His glory. He sustains us, and every breath we take is ordained by Him. More than that, He wants to have a personal relationship with us and to love us as His own children. As His kids, we are dependent upon Him. The things we acheive and receive in this life are not our own. They are gifts given to us by God Himself, who desires to give us all good things. He wants us to be thankful, humble servants. Not take credit for and boast about things we have no right to.

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path." (Proverbs 3:5-6).

Jesus said, "I am the vine, you are the branches. If a man remains in Me and I in him, he will bear much fruit, but apart from Me you can do nothing." (John 15:5).

It does us all good to remember often, that we are not as great as we may think we are. A gentle, humble spirit full of love and kindness is much more appealing than a prideful, bragging mouth and selfish heart. Let's never forget that and always remember to give God the glory! Amen!
