Conspiracies come in three varieties; fact, fantasy, and theory. They also come in a very wide variety of sizes, from internal family conspiracies {a child gets siblings or friends to lie for him/her} to global {trying to take over the world}. Not all conspiracies are real, but not all are false either. Benedict Arnold was a real conspirator involved in a real conspiracy; this is historic fact. It is unfortunate that the term "conspiracy theory" is used as inclusively and derisively as it is today; in doing so we designate honest inquiry and paranoid fantasy into the same category.

Did the U.S. government know about the planned attack on Pearl Harbor in advance, choose not to promulgate that information to the Naval base, so that the attack would draw the U.S. into WWII? Is it possible that the U.S. actually sent messages to China that the Japanese would interpret as signs that the U.S. was going to enter the war and side with China against Japan? I know several college professors that honestly believe this to be the case. However in order to believe this one must also believe that propaganda/counter-think can be used to manipulate a person or group into taking a certain kind of action. It is interesting to note that the commander of all the destroyers at Pearl Harbor, Admiral Robert Theobold, wrote in his book "The Final Secret of Pearl Harbor" that:

President Roosevelt enticed Japan into attacking by keeping the Pacific fleet in Hawaiian waters.
The plans were laid in June of 1940 to use Pearl Harbor as "bait".
If war was declared against Japan, then Germany was obligated to declare war against the U.S. by treaty.
Roosevelt and his cabinet knew about the planned attack on Pearl Harbor a day in advance.

When a gentleman of such high rank proposes such a hypothesis, heed should be paid.

On September 11, 1991 President George H. W. Bush states that there is indeed an agenda for a New World Order, confirming what "conspiracy theorists" had been saying for decades. Ten years later, to the day, four airliners are hijacked, two are flown into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center complex, one flown into the Pentagon, and the fourth is destroyed in a field outside of Shanksville, Pa.

The airspace over major cities is restricted fly space due to the possibility of aircraft malfunction and the destruction and death that could result, and because the air over cities is extremely choppy because of the buildings, concrete,
