Was the US government involved in orchestrating 9/11 for ulterior motives?

No

Was the US government involved in orchestrating 9/11 for ulterior motives? This is by far the most out-landish question I have ever heard asked, and to even acknowledge it to some degree seems unpatriotic. However, our wonderful nation allows these thoughts to become written and discussed in pubic with no retribution! What a country!

We have made mistakes as a nation. Seems our timing is off, we react too quickly or not fast enough at times when comforted with choices. We had data concerning National Security, which according to our news media our government didn't regard seriously enough. Hind sight always being better then foresight, we now know-we should have had more security in place. Our government by no means would deliberately cause such a horrific tragedy on her people!

I think the saddest thing is that sometimes we don't learn from mistakes! I'm not so sure that we have the best National Security in place right now-least not as good as we could have. Seems there was no plus side for the United States to have had this happen. Our economy never has made a full recovery. The spot where the disaster of 911 took place is still not rebuilt! It almost seems symbolic that it is not-as so many lives are still in turmoil directly or indirectly from that day. It has and will always remain an unforgettable moment in time, we all wish never took place!

The attack the terrorists preformed was harmful in America, the melting pot of the world, in that it made us then, and still skeptical of some of her own citizens. Out all those that lost their lives that day-this alone perhaps is second in how American was harmed. The distrust it created among our own citizens, has yet to be corrected. America went through the racial divide, which after all these years still has a bit of work-but now we have to get past the distrust of the Muslim community too. How sad this is!

The vastness of this inconceivable act, then transposed itself, to other countries. Depending on how one views the war in Iraq, you may say a bad situation, went from bad to even worse. I personally believe it did. Anytime a nation has fighting, innocent people will die and lives changed in dramatic ways-especially the children! No country wins when there is war-the battle may be won-but the cost so great! America, since her beginning, has lost so many wonderful men and women-many of them barely that-some just became adults when their life was given for country- - This war has taken lives of so many-not just from our country but from that of a people we had yet to learn so much about!

Why would we as a nation set ourselves up for a downward spiral? The answer-we wouldn't and we didn't!
