A fisherman was walking down the street after shopping some breads for his hungry family back home. He was carrying five breads in a bag. He was very concerned and worried about his family finance and future for life. He was praying God to relieve his pains. At that time he saw an angel coming down from heaven in front of him. He got delighted that God has answered his prayer and he is going to be rewarded for his prayer!

But alas! the angel that came in front of him instead of asking for what he wanted to have, asked the fisherman for food as he is very hungry. The fisherman got intially perturbed by this request of angel but later was very happy that he could help the angel and offered one bread to the angel. The angel ate the bread completely and asked again for food as his hunger remained.

Fisherman now offered another half bread thinking that the angel will get satisfied and is going to offer boon in praise of the fisherman's offer of food and kindness. But no! the angel again asked for food. Now the fisherman got wild, because his family is waiting for food that he is going to bring. However, thinking if he did not give food the angel may curse him, he offered another bread to the angel.

The angel continued to ask him for food, but the fisherman gone wild and started offering the bread to the angel only with the fear of not getting curse. Now the angel disappeared and fisherman was left with only little with him and a letter in his bag. He opened the letter and read it. The letter was from the angel telling the fisherman that he is rewarded for what was offered to the angel and he will able to get the reward after reaching home.

When the fisherman reached home and saw his bag, he saw one and half breads were in gold and the remaining breads were available to be given to his family for satisfying their hunger. Now the Fisherman started thinking we should have not got irritated and offered entire stock of breads and by that way could have got all the breads turned into gold and cursed himself for his impatience!

What is the lesson?

If the Fisherman could have offered the whole of five breads to the angel, he would have been rewarded with five gold breads! This is what we have to learn in life... When we offer something to others, we need to offer them with full heart and not expect anything! If we do not have such expectation, we will be rewarded more than what we could have expected. Else, we will be in despair! An unconditional love is what we require to drive ourself to divinity!
