From My Heart
I catch your eye from across the room; you smile and wink.
I wonder what goes through your mind; I wonder what you think.
Do you even know that you are cared for so much?
How I long to feel from you just the slightest touch.
My heart beats faster: I take a deep breath, a smile comes to my face.
Just to see you, to know you notice, to be within the same space,
Brings joy, and knowing that certain looks are private little secrets too.
But you don't know what I hold in my heart, secret from even you.

I'm trying to just forget
