It is important to remember that every one at some stage in life gets angry,it is after all an emotion. The key to controling our anger how ever is quite often simpler than you think. There are all kinds of various triggers that can cause an uncontrollable rage which will vary for each individual.
Although anger is some times unavoidable it is wise to understand that it can play a detremental fact on a persons well being. For instance when some one is shouting louder and louder there blood pressure can raise. This can lead to heart problems and dizziness as the blood supply pumps to the heart at an uncontrolable rate. Also reddening of the face which may lead to veins breaking which will not disappear.
Anger can be dealt with many ways.Stress management over a period of time will allow a person to control their breathing in times of trouble, this helps to keep the blood pressure down and allows them to feel more in control.
Some times though we need to alleviate the way we are feeling rapidly to avoid nasty situations or health problems. How can this be done?
The fastest well proven answer is walking.Yes it really is as easy as that.Simply placing one foot in front of another and breathing in the fresh air has an immediate calming affect.
Walking stimulates the blood supply helping it to flow freely around the body and exercise releases a feel good endorphine. This feel good factor plays a very important role on a persons mood.
Also, walking in a fresh, windy environment is like massaging the mind. All black, angry thoughts begin to disperse leaving you content and invigorated once more.
The trick is to keep walking until you feel capable of facing your difficulties that caused your anger to emerge in the first instance. There is no limit on the miles you should venture
simply keep going until your head feels clearer.
Some times it helps to have some music with you to help clear your angry thoughts, obviously nothing to loud or it will have the opposite effect.
When walking off your anger it is wise not to set yourself a ridiculous challenge. For instance setting out to conquer mount everest will naturally put a strain on your already pushed to the limit temper.Set reasonable goals and aims that you know you can complete which will give you a sense of achievement and pride.
Try having a friend escort you on your walk to encourage you and chat with you about what is making you feel so angry.Remember walking truly does burn off anger so next time you feel your self getting hot under the collare, pull ouyt your walking shoes and off you go.
