Poetry: Emotions

by Another E.A. Poe

Created on: July 02, 2008

I like to base my poems in 3rd party perspective;
No one really knows whens it's me.
And when I write within my journal, I notice that I've got it
Set aside for not the 3rd, but just me.

I'll talk about myself right now, not to be conceided,
But to remind myself just how important I am.
We take ourselves for granted and leave ourselves stranded,
Because we can't say what our pens tell man.

I've never been attracted to the spoken word method,
But I do what I can to stay alive.
An entrapment of secrets can hurt if you keep it,
So I write...or so I try.

You see I write all I've written just to be read.
It's not something I'll hide 'till I die.
But there are those that I caution to see where my thoughts've been.
It takes time to repaint a blue sky.
