Color Psychology
Blank page blank page
I stare
Dark thoughts dark thoughts
Despair
Eerie orange glow cast
Across the dim lit room
Depression won't last
This I dare, to assume
Orange has less intensity or aggression than red and is calmed by the cheerfulness of yellow

I close my eyes
Dark thoughts dark thoughts
They're far from wise
Bright red numbers glow
From the clock on the wall
Three o'clock they show
At this hour, time crawls
Studies show that red can have a physical effect, increasing the rate of respiration and raising blood pressure; red also is said to make people hungry; Red is also the color of the devil in modern Western culture.

And I so vainly try
Dark thoughts dark thoughts
Resist what they imply
Walls seem to creep in
Not black nor white, they're gray
First fiery passion
Now of the night, I'm prey
A symbol of neutrality, gray is the color of subtlety and instability. Represents age, decay, urban sprawl and strong emotions. The in-between color

Light thoughts dark thoughts
Good and Evil fight for control
They don't have a shape
Nor color to be seen
I cannot escape
