Did You Ever?
Did you ever wish to be
Something different than you are?
Did you ever wish you could
Fly up high and touch a star?
Did you ever want to climb
To the highest mountain peak?
Would you like to be a duck
Just to wear a funny beak?
Have you ever wished you were
A big hibernating bear?
Did you ever want to sleep
Half the year without a care?
Did you ever wish you lived
With the mighty dinosaurs?
Or would you rather gallop
Be a wand'ring wild horse?
Did you ever think you could
be a real brave fireman?
Would you like to put out fires?
Do you really think you can?
It's a lot of fun to think of
Different things that we can be,
For now let's just be happy
To be simply you and me!

I want to be
The most important
Clay of life
So can you
Shape me
To be a helper
Of life
All I need
Is a wheel
With a direction
