The Lord's protection
"Lord you've kept me, through another night...
Stay with me through the day, You I do invite.
Take my hand and lead me, I may lose my way...
If I get too far behind, please don't let me stray."
The road was long and broken, temptations lay in wait...
On the path before me, a new way He did create.
"You've cared and protected, throughout another day...
Keep me through the darkness, stay not faraway.
If in the night you call for me and I do not hear...
Don't leave me all alone, I need you always near."
I hear my name He's calling, "Protect me Lord I pray."
I looked at the footprints, He's carrying me all the way.

Hidden
I should have seen it coming
You were like all the rest
Warm words could hide
The cold heart in your chest
The walls
by Mary Guimont
I see the tears fall softly down upon your face
And my own heart begins to break.
I want to protect you and keep you
by Katie Olson
I'm sorry I'm not perfect
or everything you need
but I'll always try to give you
everything you dream
I'll hold your hand so
The Lord's protection

Stay with me through the day, You I do invite.

Cradled, then planted
Beneath paltry soil mounds
Spring prospers elsewhere
But one child's footprint
Will suppress
