Poetry: Betrayal

by Sharron Moore

Created on: July 02, 2008   Last Updated: July 31, 2008

Betrayal is devastation by name,

You give all you can expecting the same.

When the dust settles and the truth becomes clear,

Your heart pounds, your soul cries, breaking of your heart is all you hear.

Your life will take a beating and feel like a lie,

Sometimes it hurts so intensely that you think you will die.

But that would only hurt you not the beast that cared nye,

Days will get better and you will soon understand.

That giving your whole was a mistake to the end.
