Gentle Night
Gentle night embrace me and soothe my fears.
Who am I to question life?
I lived long
I've known pain,
I've felt lost.
The solitude has been my guide.
Am I to spend forever here and not be satisfied?
To not know the joy of forgiveness,
or the pain of being forgotten.
Words spoken long ago keep my faith alive.
Memories of our love break me apart.
I've spent to long mourning what we've lost.
Possibly lost the chance to get it back,
my strength has failed me in my time of need.
So now I'm left wiping away the tears.
All I wanted was a dream,
a little girl's fantasy to fulfill her destiny.
I always wanted the simple things,
to be adored by a man,
to be a mother to a child.
But temptation will destroy your life.
I've lost so much tangled in your embrace.
Gentle night hold me tight.
