Centuries ago, no one would have ever dreamed.
Instead of leaving just a note for you,
It would be sent by just a beam.
The ever-present mechanics,
of a machine, that does it all.
Invisible streams of information,
just floating and waiting to be seen.
A computer in nearly ever home,
back then it would be outlawed.
Once it was the horse and cart with mail,
delivering to your door.
Then it was the post-man on pushbike or on foot,
delivering on his trail, the goods, to have a look.
So amazing is technology, seems all we need to do.
Is keep pressing those wretched buttons,
some how, the message will get to you.
