Poisonous Snakes of the World

My friends and I were talking about snakes and one of them asked me, "Mike, what are some of the most deadly snakes in the world"? I scratched my beard and sit and thought about what was asked and then replied, not sure I can answer that question. So I decided that I should do some investigation and see what I could come up with.

Black Mamba: It is the largest venomous snake in Africa and the second longest venomous snake in the world. Only the King Cobra is believed to be longer. The Adult black mambas have an average length of (8.2 ft) and a maximum length of (14 ft). The black mamba gets its name from the black color inside of its mouth, rather than their skin color which ranges from a gray to olive color. The black mamba is the fastest moving snake in the world.

Its venom is so poisonous that the poison it releases from one bite is potent enough to kill 200 people. So you know if you get bit, there's not much hope for you. I repeat, do not antagonize this snake.

Russell's viper: The Russell's viper is reported to be one of the most dangerous snakes in all of Asia, It's said, and that they are responsible for many of deaths each year. Its bite and the poison it releases from one strike, is toxic enough to kill 150 people.

That my friends is very deadly! The venom collected from poisonous snakes such as these is also used to make anti-venom for those that are tagged by other poisonous snakes around the world. They're currently being researched to see if the venom can be used to aid in other health related treatments.

The "Jararacussa": snake's venom is potent enough to kill a person very quickly with one bite. It's reported, that it injects enough venom with one strike into its victim to kill one hundred people!

That's really potent so again if you come across one while on your travels, try to avoid it. The outcome of getting bit will be fatal.

Common Krait: This snake can be found in the jungles of India and is extremely poisonous. Its bite is potent enough to kill you very quickly as well. Like with other poisonous snakes, stay away from it! Let the experts hunt and handle them; they're better trained to do so. If tagged by one of these snakes, you will die very quickly.

Forest Cobra: This snake can be found in the humid forest throughout western and central Africa. Its bite is poisonous enough to kill very quickly. In The interest of safety, I would recommend that you avoid these snakes; the outcome of confronting any one of them could be fatal.

This ends my article on snakes and I hope it was educational and helpful to anyone that may read it.
