As people get older they tend to care less about there eating habits and most definitely slack on the gym. But I think that as you get older it gets more important to work out. Keep your body in shape and make sure you stay healthy for as long as you live. I'm not saying when you are older you should enter weight lifting contests or even go hit 100 pound weights but go and stay fit, pick up a few pounds do some walking and keep your heart at a good pace. Make sure that you do not over do it and just work out to keep yourself feeling good and keep your body were it should be.
When your body gets older it obviously tends to get weaker. A strain should not be part of your exercise so to you elders I suggest using light weight. Even though you are aged more you should still lift. Maybe not as much and of course not to get huge but to keep your body healthy and keep muscle around that is needed. Grab some 10 pound dumbbells and do the simple curls. Do some simple lunges with them to keep your legs strong as well. Maybe even if you grab 5 pound dumb bells and do laps around the center would keep you healthier and fit.
Keeping muscles working correctly and keeping them tight will benefit in the long run and have you live a happier life longer. Being an elder you should also keep stretching before and after exercises maybe even during. Stretching is very important to the body as you age because the lack of stretching may result to injury that could potentially be worse then those who are young. It may even lead to the end of you routines. Try to keep a steady pace so you are not struggling you most definitely want to be comfortable. Maybe it will help if you have a personal trainer or just somebody there helping you step through your exercise.
Another really good exercise is the treadmills or even just walking. You should stay active and keep your body moving so that you stay healthy, and also more importantly feel great. Walk for minutes at a time unless you can handle it, and drink plenty of fluid. You should walk at least four times a week when you get older so that your body will be able to stay functioning and you will be less likely to have an accident in the injury list.
Aerobics is another great exercise to use as a Youth. Do some leg kicks, side kicks and more to keep your legs strong. It will help you keep walking and also do more of the above make you feel better. Include some strides and arm moving as well. Keep motivated to do more of this, perhaps listening to music or even bring a partner along. Keep your body in motion and use light weights for exercises you may be doing. Have a fun time while doing exercises and just keep at it for a healthier living and to keep yourself feeling great.
