Running a hand through her dirty, black hair, seventeen year old Samarah Raye was lost. Water hit rocks and seagulls chirped gleefully. Samarah looked around her and sighed. She had run away. Samarah was born to a rich life. Her mother gave her whatever she wanted and more. Her life on the outside was good, but on the inside she yearned for something she did not have. She had never met her father. Her mother did not have a single painting or picture of him. Samarah did not even know what his name was. That, is why she ran away but let's start from the beginning.
Samarah was born in a Native American camp. Yes, her father was an American Indian. Her mother, on the other hand, was a rich, blonde woman from Britain named Natalia. Natalia had visited the small camp. Samarah's father had no idea he would fall for Natalia. After chief Running Wolf found out about them he said that she would only be allowed to live with them until she had the child.
Natalia did have the child. She named her Samarah and the father gave her his mother's name, Raye, as her middle name. So the child became Samarah Raye. Natalia was forced to leave and begged for them to take the baby, for in seventeenth century Britain she would be considered a whore if she came home having bore a child out of wedlock. The chief refused because Samarah was only half Native American and he didn't want his tribes bloodline to be diluted by this infection by those who he viewed as thieves of his former homeland. Her father told Natalia to leave and never to come back. Natalia, saddened by her love's cruelty, returned to Britain.
When Samarah was just two years old they moved to an island, known as Harios Island, which is located off of the coast of Australia. They moved from Britain to escape the life that Samarah was meant to lead. Samarah and Natalia came into a fortune when her grandfather died. They lived in a beautiful house in a beautiful city.
But on Samarah's sixteenth birthday Natalia decided that she was to wed. Samarah had met a young man named Gabriel. She liked Gabriel, she even wanted to marry him when she became eighteen. But that was not her mothers plan. Her mother wanted her to marry a older man named Alexis. He was a German man. She didn't even want to meet him, let alone wed him. Gabriel had told her that she should run away, run away from this life, just like she and her mother had run away from her old one.
Maybe she could even find her real father. Yes... that is what she wished. To meet the man that, so long ago, had forced her to live with a woman she had grown to hate. She wanted to, but she didn't have the slightest clue where he was now.
