My Calling
I said a prayer last night,
then I had a dream;
I was flying among the birds,
like we were on a team.
they were guiding me,
further into the air;
that's when I caught a glimpse of you,
standing so quietly there.
I flew down and tried to pull you up,
but,something held you down;
something told me, "Don't give up,"
but, your feet stuck to the ground.
I was filled with warmth and love,
the same as I'm feeling right now;
I knew you didn't know how to fly,
but, I was determined to teach you how.
The love I feel for our Savior,
I wanted to share without stalling;
I knew from the moment I opened my eyes,
I had received my calling.
I shall teach all that are willing to learn,
that our Savior, indeed, does live;
We can all teach each other something,
we all have something to give.
