Poetry: Faith vs. doubt

Within a Child's Hand

Faith is like unto a coin, that lies upon the ground;
Many see and pass it by, some even slowing down.
And if it be a penny, a nickel, or a dime;
some will not pick it up, thinking it's a waste of time.
But if a child should wander by, and get close enough;
to catch a glimpse with wondrous eye, they'd run to pick it up.
Not knowing quite the worth of it, they still could not pass it by;
Just knowing it's worth something, is enough to catch their eye.

Humility is like unto a coin, within a child's hand;
No matter how small the coin, they'd share with any man.
Money is considered, the root of all evil, but in reality;
the evil is in the person, that handles it greedily.
Learn from the child, watch how he lives;
he took the time to pick up faith, and now he freely gives.
Watch closely everything he does, learn everything you can;
For, oh, how lucky is the coin, within a child's hand.
