With The Eyes Of My Soul
Be still, my treacherous heart!
Just settle down...
Send not the blood
that feeds my veins.
Stop beating now!
Heed my command!
Cease your pounding
within my hollow chest.
If need be... If I must...
Then I'll beseech you...
Please don't betray
my lonesome soul.
For to cherish,
her true beauty and grace,
I shoul not, and must not
gaze upon her face,
With these eyes
made of sinful flesh,
But, with the eyes
of my pure soul.
