During your college years, you will come across thousands of people. These are people who you may see again and if you don't try to get to know them, you will never see again. If you are worried about not meeting people on campus, you eventually will. It is all about keeping the basics in mind so that you will have a rewarding social life.
THE BASICS
In order to have a great social life, you must master the basics. They will provide you with the necessary skills to make genuine friends and long-lasting relationships.
Be Open-Minded
College is a place where change is inevitable. You will experience things you have never experienced before, develop an interest in things you have never come across before, and meet people from different backgrounds. Having an open mind does not mean allowing all sorts of weird and bizarre ideas to fill your mind and accepting them. Being open-minded is considering ideas, opinions, and arguments based upon their quality. When you meet someone who has different views from yours, you should never judge them. It is important to respect them as a person so that they may show the same respect to you. It is possible to become great from with someone who is different from you, so always have an open mind.

Go Out More Often
Do what you love to do. If you love the warm weather, go to the beach or just read a book outside on a sunny day. If you love to help others, you can volunteer at a soup kitchen, library, hospital, or anywhere else you can think of. Go to the park to jog.
