4th of July cookout: Dos and don'ts

The most important thing about a cookout is to have enough food for everyone. You also must have enough ice to last throughout the cookout. You need to be able to afford to have a decent cookout. You must have enough soft drinks and water to quench all of your guests thirst. This is very important to keep people from becoming dehrydrated. You don't have to buy name-brand sodas or water. You don't have to buy name-brand meat or vegetables. You should at least have enough salad for all the guests.

People who have cookouts don't have to supply all of the food for their guests. They can ask their guests to bring food if they want to. The guests don't have to bring food if they want to attend the cookout. The host of the cookout should supply forks, knives and spoons. The utensils don't have to be made of silver, they can be made of plastic. If silverware is used, it needs to be clean. It also would be a good idea to have paperware with the fourth of July theme. The person who is giving the cookout should have a clean house. It also would be a good idea to have a large tent to shield guests from the sun. You also should have enough chairs and tables for everyone.

The person who is cooking the food should be clean and capable of working the grill properly. No one wants to eat food cooked by a person who appears to be dirty. The grill also needs to be cleaned before it is used. It needs to be in aa open space to avoid any accidents like kids knocking over the grill.

The meat that you are serving should be kept refrigerated until it is cooked. The meat should be cooked thoroughly. All the vegetables should be kept refrigerated and cleaned properly. You should also have diet sodas for people who have diabetes. The host should also keep all the soft drinks cool in a refrigerator or cooler. The drinks should probably be placed in a cooler close to the guests. The guests should be able to easily get a soft drink or bottled water.

The person who is throwing the cookout should have a starting time and ending time. The guests need to know when to arrive and when to leave. They shouldn't think they can arrive and leave whenever they want. It also would be a good idea to give out invitations, but it isn't neccessary. The cookout should start and end on time if poossible. The guests should be greeted and recognized when they arrive. The cookout should start at a convenient time for the guests. Most cookouts are held on the weekends. If the cookout lasts until night, there should be adequate lighting.

The hosts of the cookout don't have to keep all of the leftover food. It can be divided amongst the guests. The guests should help clean up the mess, but they don't have to help. There should be plenty of garbage bags available for the guests to put their trash in.
