I'm all mixed up like a box of crayons a 5 yr old put back together
All of my emotions couldn't be written in a four page letter
I'm stuck between walking away from my past
And running towards my future so fast
Once upon a time he claimed I was the love of his life,
But he got went a stray in the tribulations and strife
So he wasn't loving me right
But of course I didn't see the light
I stayed through the emotional abuse thinking I just wanna be a good girlfriend
Little did I know those were all signs that it was time for the end
The mistrust and love being blind
Caused me to put peoples warnings out of my mind
The end came but as sure as day
And he decided to move on the quickest way
After grieving and growing out of his love,
With words and talks to the lord above
I discovered a different type of love in an familiar face,
The love we shared wasn't my replace
We sang and played under the same dream stars,
But the saying was true women are from Venus, men are from mars.
Breaking up to make up
Telling the world it was the other one who got dumped
So we hid from the world with secret rendevous,
Sending special text messages with secret clues,
That didnt work either
The world didnt want us together neither
I then decided to give up on love once again,
Falling in and out its just like I cant win
Until I met a guy through poetry and deep conversation
He was feeling my intellect and my talent of creation
See hes been heartbroken and lost
We found recognition in each others soul at no cost
He needs a lady in his life to treat him right
And I need a man in my life to be my support and might
Now we have a slow and steady start
Of course things from the past comes to part
The ex doesnt wanna say goodbye,
Its like he likes to see me cry
The other still sees my face and calls my name when he thinks no one else hears,
Just like he pretends its not me that makes those tears
Happiness is a glow around my body people rarely see
How is it now they wanna care about me?
Ya see now theyre all up in my grill,
Cause theyre dying to know how I feel
Why I feel and who I feel for
Theres only one thing I need to say more
Hes offered a hand for me to take
To turn it down would be a mistake
So goodbye to the two who had their chance,
This time fellas Ive got a new leader in this dance of romance.

Title: Out of the Fire
All that she wanted was someone to love her
It seemed fair to her and not too much to ask
With so much

It is undoubtable
That I have broken free
Of the chains which have restrained me
A temporary assistance
To misery
I'm still trying
I thought of you today
For no apparent reason
Just a memory of your face
The quietest of images
A whisper of the place.

Breakup: An Explanation
What you are not, my dear, is a flame
that starts in my sternum and sends smoke
through my pores.
What
The files are sealed
The vaults are closed
I wait, new chapters to unfold
I've shed some tears
I've cried the past
But future's
