Why do we desire what we cannot have? Whether it is somebody or something that we crave, the facts are the same. We want what we do not have. I really believe that this is not a bad thing. The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence. This has always been the case and will always be the case. From the new car you want, to a different favor of icecream you want (when the freezer has icecream in it), the people we seek to be ours is just another dessert. Why we question the very things that make us alive rather than just living?
If we did not desire that which seems impossible to obtain than we are the same as dead. To shoot for the moon and fall short is better than being grounded forever. There has to be some goal that we set for ourselves that is not easy to get. Life without challenges is clearly a life not worth living. This is my opinion on this matter and others of a lazier nature will try to steer you clear of this type of thinking. To dare, to better oneself is not an easy task to accomplish. To set goals beyond one's current means, to get that guy/gal you want that is clearly out of your league, these are not things done overnight. Getting that guy/gal, that might be something done overnight, or for some a couple of seconds as the case maybe.
Who said you cannot have what you desire? Don't listen to those that are to lazy to go after what they desire. If one wants something bad enough there is ways to get what you want. Hard work and determination are the best ways to obtain what you desire. There are a few other ways to get what you want, but I advise you against this method. These other methods are the short cuts and one needs to find out what's legal where you live. I don't suggest stealing or stalking, you might just end up with a mate you don't want.
Keep trying to get what you want, settling for less than you desire will never bring happiness to you. You might not be able to get exactly what you want, but one can come close. If you want a new Rolls-Royce, you might have to settle for new Chevy Impala, both are new cars, get what you can get. You can always upgrade later, the same holds true for relationships, the courts are proof of this. If you desire a cheerleader keep trying to get that gal, when she is eighty she will by less likely to turn you away. The same holds true for you gals, that good looking guy you want now, you can most likely get when he is eighty. Waiting sixty or seventy years to get what you want, isn't that long, isn't it. Whether you choose to settle for less now and up grade later or wait those sixty plus years, I am sure that it will be worth the effort.
