Transporter 3 in the Making (2009)

Jason Statham is back as the "Transporter," and let's just hope the third one's the charm. With his last movies "In the Name of the King, A dungeon Siege Tale, and Crank" bombing big time, I hope he can bring back the chemistry and excitement he accomplished in the first two Transporter movies.

Born in 1972, in London, England, UK; Jason Statham has done a lot in a short amount of time. He was an Olympic Diver on the British National Diving Team and finished 12th in the World Championships in 1992. He was also a con man and black market salesman conning tourist on the streets of London before taking on modeling and finally becoming an actor.

Jason Statham began his career in acting after being spotted and introduced to Guy Ritchie, when he was a model for "French Connection" and his first movie directed by Guy Ritchie in 1998 was "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels," which he obtained when he was challenged by Ritchie to impersonate an illegal street vendor and convince him to purchase fake jewelry. "Come on let the con games begin people, he was doing this for a living once." Guy was impressed with his wit and charm so much he signed him on, and later called him in to also star in "Snatch, with Brad Pitt and Benicio Del Toro and then; Revolver with Ray Liotta, Andre Benjamin and Vincent Pastore. I must admit although directed by Guy Ritchie these were among his best, followed by the first two "Transporter's," "The Italian Job, with Mark Wahlberg, Mos Def, Seth Green and Edward Norton" and "Cellular" with Kim Basinger, Chris Evans and Richard Macey.

In March of 2008 Statham also starred in "The Bank Job," where he once again surprised me, and I pretty much enjoyed the plot twists and all players portrayed, from corrupted police officers, to royal family scandals, to the black panthers involvement with the death of an undercover FBI agent.

The "Transporter" movies have always been action packed, fun, and as long as new director Olivier Megaton keeps that in mind, than the third installment should make some decent change at the box office. This time around, franchise star Jason Statham is joined by Prison Break nasty guy Robert Knepper, no doubt once again playing the heavy, as really, with that face, what else could Knepper play? The man was born for villain roles; and at least now he gets to play the lead, which in itself shall be a special treat. Also joining him in this film is his co-star of the first two films, Francois
