A school is a place for children to learn and to be taught the good aspects in life. It is here that children are honed to become good and responsible citizens of tomorrow. Every parent has a good impression of what a school is to be. Parents risk everything in order for them to be able to send their children to good schools in their belief that schools are where children should be in order to learn pleasant things. If schools allow books on adult subjects for reading materials they are teaching children to have a wrong concept of what a school is supposed to be. Although sex education is allowed in schools, adult subjects are not at all appropriate for children to read and see.

There are subjects that should not be left exposed to children as these would lead them to think that such things are normal part of life. They would be led to have a misconception of the true meaning of normal life. Morality must be thought to children in the right way just as their basic subjects like English literature, Math, Science and History should be. Adult subjects are still very far from the grasp of children. They still couldn't understand the meaning of these adult subjects. Why would schools bring them to the library that should contain pleasant reading materials fit for growing children?

In this world of today where there is too much violence, sex and crimes, children must at least be spared from too much exposure to these subjects. There will always come a time when our children will encounter adult subjects but letting them read about them at an early age is really not of much help in their learning process. If children would be exposed to adult subjects at a very early age, their minds will be filled with things that they cannot decipher. Exposing children to violence, sex and crimes would only make them be very aware of the evil things happening in all parts of the world.

We have to spare the children from these adult subjects so that they would have a more meaningful life. We should not let them see such unpleasant things that will only distort their minds and make them live a life full of weird imaginations. Children must live a carefree and happy life without those things that would adulterate their innocent lives.

Reading materials for children should contain subjects that would fit their minds and not things that would adulterate their innocence. It is best if children will read only pleasant reading materials that would give them a good vision of what life should be. This would give them a better growth and development which would eventually lead them to become worthwhile future people of the world.
