Tips to relieve morning sickness

Morning sickness refers to the nausea and vomiting that some women have when they become pregnant. It is caused by the sudden increase in hormones during pregnancy. Although morning sickness is more common in the morning, it can occur at anytime of the day or night. Mine mostly came in the morning.
When I was pregnant for my twins, i had morning sickness from my first month through my sixth month. I gave birth early, or I probably would have had it the rest of my pregnancy. Here are some morning sickness remedies, most of which I used.

Eat dry crackers or toast. Wheat toast and Saltine crackers really worked the best for me. I couldn't even move off the bed without a cracker in me.
Drink ginger ale. I never did this, nor did i think of it. This has been used for years for upset stomachs. I heard it works, but I never tried it. You may also want to try ginger root.
Avoid spicy and fatty foods. This i had a problem with. All I wanted was spicy food when i was pregnant. Spicy foods can irritate the stomach and lead to morning sickness (not to mention heart burn.)
Keep well hydrated. I drank water throughout my pregnancy, so this was not a factor for me. It could have possibly been all the spicy food I ate. If you vomit with morning sickness like I did, you could become dehydrated. So water is the best way to go. Remember NOT to guzzle! That could lead to an upset stomach, too.
Try acupressure. I never did this. They say it helps, but I'm not the type of person to do it. If you are interested, consult with an an acupressurist for correct pressure points or to schedule a session.
Silly as it sounds, carry a handkerchief with a few drops of a non nausea causing essential oil (lemon for example) in it and breath through it if you can't get away from the smell that is bothering you.
Avoid warm places as heat can increase the nausea feelings.
The iron in prenatal vitamins can bother some women. If you think your morning sickness is related to your vitamins, talk with your doctor and he or she may change your vitamins.
These are only a few remedies. You may want to talk to your doctor if none of these work for you. I pretty much stuck with the crackers my pregnancy. That's what helped the most for me. I hope these were helpful to you. If your morning sickness is severe enough, your doctor may prescribe medication that will offer you morning sickness relief. If you have morning sickness where you are unable to keep food or water down for any length of time, PLEASE talk to your doctor to see what can be done. Extensive weight loss / dehydration can be harmful to both mom and baby. Your doctor will be able to evaluate your situation and health profile and decide which medication will be most helpful in giving you morning sickness relief. The medications prescribed are administered in three different ways depending on the severity of the morning sickness and the medication: orally, intravenously, and in suppository format.

Oh, by the way, congratulation's!
