Poetry: The way I love you

"My Hands"

Like the throes of ones first orgasm
You shot into my life like a bullet on fire
That peace-promising smile

I was your tree, you were the wind
In return you gave me attention
You flowed over me and gave me a reason to dance

I bent effortlessly to please you
You took me at once
I've got you all over my hands

I got drunk on the sound of your voice
I met you in another time
In another place

I didn't even know what your mouth tasted like
But it was like coming home
Telling me over and over how much I reminded you of life

We laughed like we'd been friends since birth
My heart is in your teeth
I've got you all over my hands
