Hey you,

I looked all over, and over some more
For you, heh, everyone else is a bore
But I didn't find you here, nor over there
I was even getting worried, just about where

See, that's why I prayed, looked above and not within
'Cause I realize and know that the answer isn't in sin
Not of worry nor of fear, but of heart's content, trust in Him
So as the breeze takes me aloft, I'll hold to news of hope, not grim

Look to the left, even to the right
Seats are empty, as stars shine bright
It's not the only one, the one without you
But this hurts more, as I swing to sky's view

Gazing, stifling a tear, God's painting so near
One of grace, reminding me to shed, remove fear
To look above and not below, trust Him, heart aglow
Just like the stars, allow myself lost in His holy flow

It's there, deep in thought and counting each blessing
That I can longingly gaze, at beauty so fetching
There I can know, His will for such frugal show
The reason for you, set in my path, like whoa!

For when friends abound
With them may love surround
Reminding me, of that empty seat
And the reason it's empty, heh, how sweet...
