thorpe park is a fantastic day out for any thrill seeking adult or just as a good fun family day out.
Thorpe park is by no means cheap, it will cost you 33 per adult, 21 per child or a family of 4 costs 88 for a day
There are rides to suite every one at thorpe park, there are major thrill rides like the stealth which is europes fastest rollercoaster, it goes from 0 to 80 mph in just 2 seconds and drops 205 foot.
nemesis inferno is a roller coaster with a steep incline, twists, loops, drops, cork screws and a vertical drop into a volcano.
vortex is a spinning ride in the air that makes you very disoreientated, which applys and takes away force from you.
these are the 3 most scary rides there that definately had me too scared to even think about screaming and are definately for the major thrill seeker only.
Detinator is another good ride which is just like the play station at blackpool, it takes you up over 100 foot them drops you vertically at 45 mph, this is a real stomach jolting experience.
for any one who doesnt mind getting extremely wet there is a log flume and water rapids which believe me are great fun but you are going to get wet no matter what, the log flume is calmer than the rapids which threw me about everywhere like a rag doll.
there are quite a few fun rides for younger children too and the queues are very short for these compared to the adult rides.
Thorpe park has different opening times throughout the year so check there web site for details at thorpe park. com
it is quite easy to find, it is situated between junction 11 and 13 of the m25. you cannot get to it from junction 12 so will need to leave at one of the other junctions. It is on staines road chertsey surry
The park itself is quite big, it has lots of choice of places to eat and things to eat,
waffles and ice cream
noodle bar
hot dog stall
burger king
do nut stall
nachos
pizza hut
fish and chip shop
kfc
there is a bbq place where you can sit in comfort to eat or as we did you can eat at the glass house bar where they have live entertainment, home cooked food and comfy seating, there is a choice of drinks, alcoholic, hot and cold. The food is great here and the prices are not too bad.
They have a souvenier shop, sweet shop, medical center and lockers to store your belongings in as you enter the park and you will have to exit this way.
There are qualified medical staff at the medical center but luckily we didnt need to use these, you can hire wheel chairs and pushchairs from the suvenier shop as you go in but you do have to pay a deposit for these of 20.
It is a great day out but is very expensive
