Poetry: Sugar

by Matthew Doherty

Created on: June 27, 2008

I'm the one to make you dance
the one to make you run
making sure your energy's enhanced
and I wont stop until your done

I will sparkle and shine in the light
so never put me to waste
add me to your bowl for delight
or a cup of tea for sweeter taste

Code me over pies
Sprinkle over cookies made
eyes open really wide
its mmm mmm good when you have me glazed

But there is effects
but relax cause not allot
when you get your teeth checked
they say it may be me to cause the rot

I just stick it out
and hang in tuff
discovering what i'm about
poor diet and bigger guts

So now I fight with sweet and low
I've turned to a crying wreck
i'm shiny my sweets the way to eat and go
for I am just a pretty tiny spec
