A Lonely Road
Down a lonely road I walked
to ponder silent dreams.
The brilliant sunlight struck my path
in golden yellow beams.
Beneath a lonely tree I sat
to hear a bluebird's song.
His thrilling, throaty chorus
carried clear and loud and long.
Beside a lonely stream I knelt,
assured its course would bring
The breathless awe I've always felt
to touch a drop of spring.
In a lonely field I stood,
with sweetly scented air.
It seemed each flower of the wood
had dropped its fragrance there.
Up a lonely hill I climbed,
and from my perch of sod,
I tasted nature's beauty
and the majesty of God.
Down a lonely road I walked,
through landscape draped in green,
With newly found perspective:
not lonely-but serene.

Experienci ng nature, oh what a joy
to be out in the mountains or by the water.

Fluffy clouds float in buoyant throng
Which shards of sunlight underscore
Birds perched
I always love to be alone
Among the older trees
And marvel as to how they've grown
So patiently with ease!
The years have left
Awaiting Dawn
Where stars
bow their heads
in slumber
I drift off
contemplating
mor ning's birth.
Fog creeps
around me
above and beyond

At the edge of the wood
Hiking stick in hand
I looked out over the meadow
The vision I saw was grand
