Humor: Finding bugs in the house

pin him to the carpet until I could get in my chair and over to get him. It took me three tries and three magazines to actually manage to hit the spider! I threw the spider and the three magazines into the trash with great satisfaction. Mission accomplished!

About two years ago, after the spring rains and right at the beginning of summer, I began to see those large outside water-bug roaches. I'm not sure what they are really called, but to me they are totally disgusting! The first time I saw one, it was again, in the middle of the night. I have to make frequent trips to the potty during the night, so I keep a night light in my bathroom. I was sitting on the toilet and glanced sleepily over to my left and sitting at the inside top edge of the bathtub was this big outside roach just looking at me! I shrieked! I promptly grabbed my hand-held shower head and vigorously washed him down the drain, totally surprised that he actually managed to fit! Hubby actually slept through that one. After I found another one in my tub a few days later, I put a water bowl for the cat on top of the drain so no more could creep in unawares. I have never been one to enjoy horror movies, but I had visions of invading armies marching up out of the drain and into my tub!

Another time, I surprised one of the bugs in my kitchen. As I reached for the bug spray, he scurried into the shade of my chair! Drawing my knees up, I was afraid to move! I didn't want to step on it with my bare feet, and I also didn't want to roll over it with my wheels! After carefully revolving in my chair, I backed up slowly and managed to zap him with my bug spray!
Then I noticed that they seemed to be getting smarter! I went into the kitchen one time and found one belly up and not moving. I thought "Ha! Got you! Guess the bug spray is working"! When I turned around to get the broom and dust pan, he got up and tried to run away! I managed to scoop him up and into the trash before he disappeared!

Now let me tell you about the incident that began this ongoing fight and solidified my squeamishness and paranoia! I was sitting in front of the TV and had dozed off. I felt something tickle my foot and glanced down. There, on the top of my left bare foot, was one of those big outside roaches! I freaked and started yelling while trying to shake it off of my foot! He just hung on while I looked on in horror and disbelief! I finally had enough presence of mind to push him off my foot with a magazine and wondered how I'd be able
