I met this guy and I don't know why
It must have been destiny
That made our lives intwined
He made me smile
He made me laugh
He gave me a happiness
I never had
You can only guess
what happened next
he popped the question
I said yes
been together 4 years now
I got pregnant
Go figure

A beautiful baby
for me to love
she is all mine
qiucker and quicker
went the time
A teenager now
attitude, puberty, mood swings
The whole package galore
I couldn't ask the Lord for more
10 years went by
A marriage to plan
but not for me
My baby and her man
Todays the day
Butterfly Kisses came on
I knew what was coming
My hubby and baby
Danced on the floor
and bursted into tears
Go figure

I cried too
for I knew
That the song was true
4 years went by
Another party to plan
But not a wedding
A baby shower
Go figure
I knew the time was soon
A grammy now
my time is fading
My hubby is up in heaven waiting
Now I am gone
But I will live on
Through the family I left behind
