Watching Steven Spielberg's Empire of the Sun was quite enjoyable. There are many memorable scenes, including the Cadillac of the Skies scene. Some disturbing footage was a little hard to watch. It ended on a joyous note with the orchestra and choir.

The entire soundtrack is outstanding. John Williams should have some gold medals for his scores. Other scores by John Williams include Star Wars, Jurassic Park, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Temple of Doom, The Last Crusade, Minority Report, Harry Potter, Saving Private Ryan, Schindler's List, Hook, Home Alone.

Some elements woven throughout the film include sacrifice, loyalty, brutality, visciousness, cruelty, courage, caring, empathy and enlightenment, survival, imagination, trust.

It was interesting to compare my incident from last night to the movie. Police and guards and law enforcement are not gods. Even if they think they are. I was molested last night by a police officer and I hope he is put in prison for that. He went through my wallet and asked me when the last time I did Meth. I have never done Meth. I said very little. Talk about perversity and defamation of character. I don't know how he could have been on the force for so long with that kind of character. It has nothing to do with training, it has to do with character and his personal corruption.

The connection between last night's incident and today's movie is remarkable. Many of the Japanese soldiers brutalized without mercy innocent American and British victims. It is like a holocaust. I pray these criminals will receive justice either at the state level or at the Divine level.

All ought to see the movie, "The Empire of the Sun" with Christian Bale, directed by Steven Spielberg, music by John Williams. Since I am not Siskel nor Rupert (nor Egbert), I will not give it two thumbs up. (That to me is silly) I give it this article.
